This set contains the original LEGO® bricks for a model of the V 200 diesel loco of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. Instructions not included. You can find them in Gabriele Ruthsatz and Ralf J. Klumb‘s book LEGO-Loks bauen!
Please note that this kit does not include the electrical components to drive this loco.
For this model, we also offer a variant with 3 straight track sections and a name tag. Also included are parts which substitute the electrical components, where they are needed for structural and/or optical purposes. This variant is ideal if the model is to have a place of honour in a display cabinet, for example.

Description
A spherical front section and an eye-catching V-shaped bib – even beginners can easily recognise the V 200 diesel locomotive. It was built in the 1950s and represents the flourishing Wirtschaftswunder like no other.
The V 200 locomotives were a big hit and carried express trains on all important main lines until the advancing electrification, but also increasing tensile loads, were their undoing. The ladies began to ail, and their high maintenance costs got on their owners’ nerves. Decommissioning finally began in 1977 until the last specimen was taken out of service in 1984.
