A turning point in the Cold War

It doesn’t happen very often that Amy and Charlotte get to work together. The 75th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift was one of those occasions, as they visited the memorial in Frankfurt. Amy got a tour of the Douglas C-47 and C-54 stationed at the site while Charlotte admired the so-called ‘Hunger Rake’ sculpture commemorating those who lost their lives during the operation. Had the airlift failed, or never been conceived at all, the world would certainly look very different today.
