Description

In 1959, Jaguar presented the Mark II, the successor of their first compact sports saloon. Several improved details made the car a tremendous success. Contributing to this was its driving performance, such as a top speed of up to 125 mph in the 3.8-litre version, as well as its comfortableness and spaciousness.

Until production of this series was discontinued in 1968, the Mark II rolled out of the factory 83,500 times. One of these shot to fame 20 years later in the British television series Inspector Morse.

Ralf developed the model at the suggestion of a cousin, who after buying the Jaguar E-Type kit based on Peter Blackert’s design, inspired the construction of this type. No sooner said than done – some time later, the model, which fits with the scale of the E-Type, stood on the builder’s table. And now it’s also available in our shop.

In addition to this famous red and black edition, we also offer a white model, as people still like to use the original for weddings today. The trio is rounded off by a fine-looking variant in elegant grey and black colouring.

Allow us to give you a tip: this is in fact a model, not a toy. It will therefore feel better as a free-standing model in a display cabinet or on the shelf rather than in little hands.
