Description
The American dream of a raptor has been a success story for 38 years. A newer version entered car showrooms in 2017. But don’t worry, environmental concerns probably didn’t play a large role in that.
Instead of a V8 engine, a 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost engine with 450 hp is now used, which, with a little effort, is just as loud as its predecessor. The monster weighs two and a half tonnes and, according to various tests, still breezes through any challenging terrain. Its top speed is limited to 170 km/h; the official standard fuel consumption is given as 14.7 litres.
The blatant superiority of the monster pickup ends in cities – at the latest, in narrow alleyways and when searching for a parking space.
