Description
The colour of the spotted parrotfish varies greatly depending on age and sex. Juveniles are typically white with a thick orange band around the head; females have a dark purple to reddish brown head with black scales and spots, a pale yellow band along their back and a bluish grey belly; and males are sea green with pink scales, lines and spots.
