Renault 4 F6 – kit from LEGO® bricks

Description

The Renault 4, called R4 for short, came into being in 1961 and remained in the range until 1992 due to its success as the French ‘Volkswagen’. In those 31 years, over eight million units were sold, many of them in Germany. Renault became Germany’s leading car importer for the first time in 1970, not least because of this compact family car.

For that reason, it wasn’t long before many small craftsmen were presented with a small van that was tailored to their needs. Vehicles in the VW bus format, Renault Estafette and similar models from other manufacturers were too big and too expensive for some, and Citroën’s panel van had achieved success since 1951. In 1965, the R4 F4 appeared, based on the regular R4 platform, and the 20 cm longer F6 was added in 1975.

We owe the model now in our range to a friend of a chimney sweep in Berlin, who wanted to give him a special gift. The model is available in four colour variants: white, red, light grey or dark azure.
