Description

The fast, beautiful Ferrari with the somewhat cumbersome name is a real highlight of automotive engineering. While the first series introduced in 1957 for the American market had a slightly longer wheelbase, the second had a shorter wheelbase (hence “SWB”).

55 copies of the second series were produced between 1960 and 1963; 49 of the first. The newer car had a four-wheel disc brake system and a 280 hp engine. The Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder became legendary thanks to its popularity among contemporary prominent figures. James Coburn drove one, as did Alain Delon. These two cars were auctioned for an incredible 7.04 and 14.2 million euros respectively.
