Description
The scarlet macaw is one of the largest species of parrot in the world. He can reach up to a metre in length – the wingspan is similar – and weigh up to one kilogram. Care should be taken with his beak. He can use it to crack the toughest nuts as well as cheeky fingers.
The macaw’s homeland stretches from southeast Mexico through Central America up to central Brazil. In addition, he is often kept as a pet and is easy to breed. In any case, it is recommended to keep them in pairs to keep them happy. In the wild, macaws live in groups, maintaining a monogamous relationship and staying with their partner for a lifetime.
